About

And who is Tymans Group?

Tymans Group is a family-owned business. Gert started a company in the UK back in 2006 while still in employment in large corporations. At that moment, we already brought in 20 years of medium and corporate sized IT experience. TY's predecessors in the family actually includes a DTP company back in the 1980s with automated processes for internal training publications for a large systemic bank and scripted animations for TV production.

From the very beginning, our focus is on giving the best possible value to our clients. As our experience grew, we started to apply this at scale and in high-velocity environments.

Gert has close to 40 years of IT operations and IT Risk management experience, backed by ISACA certification and signed client documentation.
Clients typically sign us up for a first job, and we end up being friends.

Dominik, as a teen, vowed to never follow in his father's footsteps. Well, that changed. Since 2021 he grew into the corporate global process owner of Configuration management for a +15000 staff global insurance company. And guess what, configuration management is a cornerstone of resilience.

You know how it works in family businesses. People need to think about a lot more than their core competencies. That is where Keiko comes in. My spouse takes care of all the back-office work. Simply put: that means that we can focus on you and provide you with the solutions you need.

When you work with Tymans Group, we take care of you.

Let's take a step back

We have decades-long experience in making IT resilient and bringing you back from the brink of extinction after a survival-level event. Yes, that sounds very dramatic. And something you will probably never have to endure. With TY, you have however someone at your side who went through several real-life, high-profile disaster recovery and business continuity events. In addition, TY has the EU resilience law DCCS certification on board to ensure that you have the correct power behind you to make sure that you can service your clients.

You are told to...

  • Reach certain revenue or budget targets
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Execute projects on time
  • Maintain reputation as a business leader, and maintain accountability
  • Make sure that the Department heads run their area as a business
  • Maintain the reputation of the organization as a whole within the industry

Does that sound about right, or are there some other items?

And you want specific answers, not fluffy platitudes, but real stuff like:

  • summaries of actions taken to resolve issues and (known) problems
  • progress on actual implementations
  • reports on actually held leadership mentoring and coaching
  • reports on actually held mentoring sessions held with staff to progress towards ownership

We believe that you want the best for your people, for your clients, and yes, also your shareholders.

It is my personal belief that you should be better off than before we met, regardless of whether you become a client or not.

I have three ways we can work together:

  • Personal consulting.
  • Online Guides (they come with some personal consulting if you want)
My guides are simple to follow so that you can sleep better at night, assured that you provide the best IT service to your people and your clients. Start here
